Tax Compliance Certificate

What Home Owners need to know about the Home Improvement Initiative

Posted on Posted in Latest News

20131101_132900If you are a home owner and you want to take advantage of the new Home Improvement Initiative Tax Incentive, then there are a few things you need to have or do before you proceed. The home owner can only do works to their Principle Private Residence, and MUST have paid their Local Property Tax , (LPT).  The qualifying works must be for a minimum of €5,000 and not exceed €30,000. Most importantly of all, the works must be carried out by a Tax Compliant Building Contractor, who holds an up to date Tax Compliance Certificate. In due course Revenue will have appropriate on-line arrangements for people to register their works and claim the tax credits @ 13.5%, but have made some interim arrangements for those who want to get started immediately. Terra Nua Building Contractors have always been and remain fully Tax Compliant.  We will be keeping you updated on this initiative here and on our Facebook page over the coming weeks. In the meantime, the following link is worth reading if you are interested in getting works done or know someone who might be interested.
